December 5th is World Soil Day (WSD) and it is held annually as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and advocating for the sustainable management of soil resources. The Global Soil Partnership dedicated the WSD 2017 to the theme “Caring for the planet starts from the ground” This theme goes more or less hand in hand with the iSQAPER project initiative to enhance Soil Quality across Europe and China (watch short video about importance of soil quality). So, our soil forms the basis for the quality of life and therefore we want to put WSD 2017 and the iSQAPER project in the spotlights.
