|Newsletter 06 November 2017|
Welcome to the iSQAPER newsletter, giving you the most recent news, infographics and video clips.
iSQAPER represented at the 21st National AgriCulture Trade event in Braila County, RO.
At the beginning of October 2017, iSQAPER partner, the National Research and Development Institute for Soil Science Agrochemistry and Environment presented their work in iSQAPER and the Braila County study site. People from both research and business were interested, especially in the ways in which soil quality can be improved by applying innovative agricultural management practices and techniques to the benefit of both farms and the environment.
We are delighted to present the first in a series of video clips describing iSQAPER's study sites and research themes. In this video, farmer Jean-Pierre Lemesle introduces GAEC de la Branchette an organic dairy farm in Brittany, France and one of the iSQAPER research project's study sites.
Mulching, crop rotation, compost application, reduced tillage, biodynamic agriculture and maintaining a vegetation cover all contribute to sustainable agriculture as is illustrated in this infographic from our study site in south-east Spain.
